Facebook Referal Postings

Hey folks - I'm trying to give your gear a little more exposure by referencing them on Facebook.   It would be nice if the Facebook preview showed the equiment being referenced.

Twice today I've had that fail.   An link to an X-50 antenna at Hamradio.com shows a HT.

A link to the SCS Tracker at Fallon Electronics shows only the company phone number.

Facebook Postings and beyond

I've discovered it's possible to download all previous Facebook
postings and interactions in a computer manageable form. This allows
making more use of FB features - while still being able to use the
content at some later time. Good tech for now and the near future.

So - to help me clarify my own thoughts -

Facebook will be the general 'social' postings.

Blogger/blogspot will be for longer posts.

Data is still up in the air. Maybe wikidot. Maybe the existing web
content system. Maybe the near future 'lines of data' system that is
being developed.

There is certainly no lack of tools these days.

Reminders for we commuters

Messages and reminders the Washington Department of Transportation could share on the normally unused freeway signs:

  • Merge at the last opportunity - zipper merge.  Merging earlier just slows traffic on one or both lanes.
  • Drive a little Slower - it won't really take longer to get where you're going, there's less wear on the equipment and it's safer.
  • Don't cross Gore Points - is it still a fine over $400?
  • Never cross double white lines - HOV lane or not.

Movies..

Do I put movies watched here?  Facebook?    There aren't that many but the selection is a bit unusual.

7/8/2012 - "A Summer in Genoa".   Nice scenery of the city Genoa.  Shocking twist to start it off.  Pretty slow from there and I'd only suggest watching it if resting and recovering from hours pulling weeds in the hot sun.
